It has been a rather tumultuous year in Latin and the five GrandSlam Series competitions taking place at somewhat regular intervals reflected that perfectly. When the series went underway with the first leg in Helsinki, FIN, everybody was eager to see three "new" couples that had formed after two high-profile partnerships were dissolved following the 2014 World Latin. Even the sceptics seemed to like what they saw: winning Helsinki with his new partner Vera Bondareva, Nino Langella seemed all set to continue where he had left off five months earlier. It came all the more as a surprise when the two dancers did'n make it to Wuhan, CHN, and when Nino announced that he would move on to new horizons prior to Hong Kong.
