Nino Langella - Vera Bondareva, ITA, won the first GrandSlam leg of the year in Helsinki, FIN, but they only prevailed with a narrow margin over Moldovans Gabriele Goffredo - Anna Matus and Russians Armen Tsaturyan - Svetlana Gudyno. The European Championship at the end of March was contested without the Italians. In Aarhus, DEN, Tsaturyan - Gudyno finally got their revenge over Goffredo - Matus, reversing the order of the 2014 GrandSlam Final in Shanghai, CHN, and winning by more than four points. And there is another couple that everyone is eager to see go up against the Latin powers above: Marius-Andrei Balan - Khrystyna Moshenska, GER.
