The GrandSlam Latin Taipei City lived up to the expectations in terms of participation and quality of dancing. One short of 50 couples had entered and the six usual made it all the way to the final. The dancing in round five was therefore as perfect as anyone had come to expect from the best of the best. Armen Tsaturyan and Svetlana Gudyno, RUS, managed to get their first series of GrandSlam victories started, with the two victories back-to-back in Helsinki and in Taipei City. In fact, they are undefeated for the year and recently claimed the European title in Debrecen, HUN, with authority.
